This game is basically a realistic version of Minecraft with a less cryptic crafting method set in a world with more determined monsters. It made for a very frustrating experience and has me considering moving on to another game until they release some fixes. In a 10 hour streaming session this past Saturday, the game kicked me and my buddies no less than 15 times. In the past 2 weeks, I have had 2 worlds get corrupted from multiple MD5 crashes. Glitches that move your bike and stick it inside concrete blocks, so you have to cut it out, loss of most of your stuff if you use a POI as a base and a MD5 crash happens. The game has a lot of promise, but it is easy to lose the desire to play it when you are dealing with issues like multiple game crashes per session, slow rendering maps, in-game lag that messes up combat or causes your bike to park itself in a rock/tree even though you parked it in an open area near that item.

That is, until the inevitable first MD5 crash happens and you lose everything (or close to it). The crafting, hunting, mining elements are enjoyable and the large wandering hordes and screamers make a session interesting. Once you establish your first base and start getting your skills built up, it becomes exciting. Let me start by saying I love a lot about this game. I had heard lots of great reviews of the game from friends who play it on PS4 or PC. Let me start I bought this game for $9 at Christmas. It is essentially a work in progress at this point. If your looking for a scary minecraft or a five star horror blockbuster than you'll hate it. I can't say the game is perfect because it is not but with a little patience and fair minded gameplay it is worth a look. I got killed by a bear my first playthrough and honestly I felt like I had no chance of survival.I can see lots of potential here and I like the creative aspects. the controls are difficult to adjust to and the fighting is harder than most games. Third, this is not minecraft so the building, upgrading takes time (just like real life) yes you must scavenge for items but they are not difficult to find. Secondly, the graphics and sound are atrocious for this generation. First of all, it does contain a tutorial (play the single player mode first and it will guide you through a tutorial. First of This is more an informative over view than a review, I've only spent a small amount of time with game so far but its not total crap.
